CAT LOVERS: WE’VE found your dream job.
An animal shelter in the UK is currently seeking ‘kitten cuddlers’ to hug, pet and play with its many abandoned kittens.
The Westgate Ark shelter in Newcastle has seen an huge influx of feral cats and kittens as of late, and they need volunteers to prepare them for being re-homed.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, the shelter is asking people to volunteer as ‘kitten cuddlers’ to play with and pet the cats.
Paul Black, who runs the Ark, says the feral kittens need to “feel wanted” before they go to new homes:
Many of the feral cats either come in with kittens or are pregnant. To re-home them we have to socialise them and this is easier if they are kittens.
All Black is asking people is to spare an hour or two to come in and cuddle the cats.
We’re definitely up to the job. See you on the flight to Newcastle?
